All rights including human rights were drastically violated in the ignorant-torn Somalia. No rights were reserved for anyone - especially those who remained in Mogadishu and its surroundings after fierce war erupted between the Ethiopian and Somali government forces and the opposition groups.
Millions were forced to flee from their homes, seek refuge under the shades of trees in Mogadishu suburbs. Ten of thousands lost their lives to the endless fighting pre-post the Ethiopian invasion of the African region " Somalia ", where other hundreds escaped fighting seeking asylum in countries throughout Africa , the Arab world, Europe & America.
ENNDLESS WAR IMPACTS ON SOMALI REFUGEE (IN & OUTSIDE SOMALIA)
As it has been a rule, wars carry different affects on all human life activities and the best life of mankind. High insecurity as well as extreme poverty are the two major live-threatening problems that wars carry to every human society.
The histories that have been delivered by the world's historians to the inhabitants on the earth are indeed indispensable lessons for every far sighted society. Billions are turned to extreme poverty, dependent on a small amount of food provided by WFP or aid NGOs, where other wealthy billions felt psychological disorders after loosing the peaceful environment, they have been enjoying with their families and children; at the same time tens and thousands lost their loved ones.
Despite that the impacts of wars can touch equally both poor and wealthy in the war-torn zones, the fact is that the severity of war impacts on the poor members of every society.
Lack of enough security and food across Somalia is widely believed to have been the two major problems for the past 18 years due to the unending wars in the African continent.
It's to be noted very well, that the root cause of the Somali conflict is the "the huge ignorance" that overwhelmed this African tribe.
This tribe "Somali" have dishonored all spiritual, moral, and economic laws, set for all the world people, aimed at prevention against the destruction of human existence.
The level of insecurity and poverty is, in fact becoming out of human imagination and the limit of problems. Even though the international donors and aid organizations distributed some food, water and shelter to the internally displaced people in the war-affected towns in south Somalia. Obviously, 80 per cent of the food aid does not reach directly the vulnerable, but instead falls in the hands of profiteering businessmen. In fact, this is a clear mistake and negligence by the aid organizations. And such errors might result in an outbreak of another human tragedy in Somalia again after the start of the ignorant- based Somali conflicts in the 1990s.
Therefore every wise man should bear in mind if aid donors as well as aid organizations fail to make sure the aid items to Somalia reach directly to the right individuals - It may fall in the hands of Somali notorious trades men and their aides, who clearly cast aside all spiritual, moral and economic laws because of their excessive thirst for illegal wealth at war and peace time.
As every elite in the world exactly knows - all prohibited business dealings are mostly practiced in war zones at war time. Notably, the wealthier Somali businessmen were part in what could be termed as " the unending silent mass murder " in Somalia in the past 18 years. However, to prove all these issues independent and sincere investigation is required.
LACK OF HEALTH EDUCATION SERVICE
Food and shortage of potable water in Mogadishu and its surroundings is so far the greatest existing threat. In addition to the disappearance of public health service education.
The Somali society again and again encountered shortages of free medicine and higher educational institutions. Medical and educational centers (Hospitals, MCHs, Schools, Colleges and Universities etc.) were totally burnt and destroyed by shells thrown by the irresponsible, unpatriotic and uneducated with no moral obligations. All international war laws were not revered in Somalia pre and post the Ethiopian incursion.
The warring groups in Somalia became accustomed to firing bullets and throwing heavy shells with no well-known target or enemy. So that it was too obvious that such evil acts could highly raise both the death-rate of innocent Somalis and the damage to public & private assets in Somalia.
It is also necessary to mention that illegal possession of small arms and heavy arms is one of the main factors responsible for illegal killings in Somali towns. The burdens of the huge ignorance in this society led them to break all rights, of course, if Somalis would have exercised any civilization, they would have indeed abstained shedding their blood, respect the due rights of each other, at the same time building their near and far future.
But their deep ignorance plus practicing family based-aspects has dragged them into utter destruction.
Lack of Enough treatment in Mogadishu or its surroundings if someone gets an injury is the reason that led many thousands of Somalis to prefer death over life. For instance, if a bullet or a piece of shell hits a person there is no sufficient medical services in recent years to treat the casualty. Most poor people in Somalia begged the Supreme sovereign "God" Who created them to take their souls away instead of injury due to lack of treatment, medical experts, or medical facilities or admission to a private hospital. This private clinics owned by greedy health experts have over charged medical expenses.
The MSF & ICRC sponsored hospitals in Mogadishu have done great and commendable work for the war-torn Somali society. Dayniile General Hospital run by the MSF has greatly helped those still living in Mogadishu and its surrounding. It offered free medical services to the in patient and out patient services in Somalia. In fact, MSF running Dayniile General Hospital has eased many medical burdens - Due to its location, neutrality and sincerity. It is an acceptable idea promoting the advance of nursing services and nursing education in Dayniile General Hospital proposed by a Somali elite, because it is the duty of the Dayniile General Hospital Authority to increase its proper service to the people. It should be well noted as training medical experts. Investigations and central lab is the work of the general Hospitals.
SOMALI REFUGEES IN THE OUTSIDE COUNTRIES
Many are accustomed to address much more those locally displaced Somali refugees in Somalia, setting aside those who sought asylum in many countries in the world. Actually, those who become refugees after being forced to leave their rest places or after receiving threats against their life are entitled to get their lives on an equal footing to the normal citizens in the countries they applied.
The Somali refugees who fled to the very close neighboring countries such as Yemen, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Uganda, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Libya and other African or Arabian countries were mostly ill treated by members of the societies, or border guards, or police forces due to little knowledge about the true situation in Somalia in the past 18 years.
According to world News sources, hundreds of Somali refugees cross many borders, seeking a safe haven, education and job opportunities to continue their survival like other humans.
But the very interesting question is 'Have they met the hospitality they much hoped for, from other human societies in the world?'
Sad to mention, most of them were badly treated, tortured, killed, imprisoned to death, looted, raped, and expelled from the places they reached after having suffered from extreme hunger, thirst and fatigue while looking for safety and survival. Is this issue not criminal and shameful?
It's good to tell that in many African countries that many Somalis were given asylum and permanent residences on their part of the administration there, but that some societies showed some sort of enmity. There were some other African countries who showed their hatred towards Somali refugees on their side, while their communities displayed their consent and tolerance with Somali refugees whom ignorant-based conflicts forced to leave without home, food and shelter.
Thousands of Somali refugees who escaped from the timeless wars in Somalia have been killed in the Red Sea between Somalia and Yemen, boarding ill-made boats by merciless businessmen who know no safety standards in our worlds.
In Sudan, or the Sudan-Libyan desert hundreds have died and many others are still missing. In addition to the Sea between Libya and Italy, hundreds were drowned after their boats capsized due to the inefficient boats or harsh weather. Moreover, those who survived from long travel from Somalia to European countries now face immigration ordeals and ill treatment. They are finger-printed and then sent to other EU countries.
In some EU countries when Somali refugees submit asylum documents they encounter many years or months in the detention camps or are automatically given a rejection/acceptance reply which means "eligibility" of asylum if their finger print is presented.
Some of them are housed for years in coldest places in some countries in Europe if errors are found in their applications or some documents with them.
So that all may consider and be kind to those who were forced to evacuate themselves, and looking for security and life. All the worlds may recall the histories of former world's emigrants and learn from them very good lessons based on wisdom and humanity.
Many may still remember the Hunger Winter in Holland 1944. It was nearly fifty years since parts of the Netherlands experienced a hunger winter. Those areas were reportedly still under Nazi control had no food and people were forced to eat tulip bulbs to stay alive. As some say this is why Holland has identified with other areas of the world where people are starving and why domestic or international fund-raising campaigns produce large amounts of money. But is that link and understanding fading now? Has the M World and D World started to despair at the current plight of Africa, especially Somalia and other regions in the worlds.
The Queen Elizabeth II urged people to take responsibility for all vulnerable individuals excluded by the modern society.
Every well-educated person, with enough knowledge has to bear in mind that all the great religious teachings of the world delivered the message that everyone has a responsibility to care for the vulnerable, by offering a time, a talent, and possession, and taking a share in the responsibility for the well being of those who live.
