Accoding to Activists for Human Rights and Democracy there are evidence from Gohardasht prison reporting on systematic killings of political women prisoners.
The killings of women prisoners have started since 2005 and to cover them up the authorities have reported the reason of their death to be suicide or lack of drugs.
According to Activists for Human Rights and Democracy, there are several witnesses that are willing to confirm the terrible killings of women prisoners in Gohardasht prison.
It is reported that the victims are less noted women activists generally aged between 22-30 arrested for immoral dressing or use of drugs who are kept in solitary confinement when are arrested and in order to improve their conditions are willing to collaborate with the interrogators in any way. They are forced to confess and in court receive heavy sentences. They then become slaves of their interrogators and are sexually abused in prison. If they show resistence they are transferred to the notorious ward 7 hall 21 of the prison and are kept under severe conditions. Once in ward 7 they are gradually drugged and become addicted. There are organized criminal bands inside ward 7 who are engaged to smuggle drugs and kill other prisoners. After a while they themselves are eliminated to remove any trace of evidence of such happenings.
At the begining these killings used to occur on the halls rights in front of other prisoners but later were set to take place only in ward 7 using inhumane methods. One of the women recently killed in this way is Mahnaz Akbar Tehrani who after being transferred to the solitary confinement was killed by hanging. She is reported to be suspended from ceiling for over 12 long hours.

The current chief of the womens ward is a woman revolutionary guard named SIMIN JALILVAND who is directly conducting the killings. Before her the responsible was MARYAM KHADAM SHARIFI also known as MARYAM MOHAMADI.
The chief of the prison ALI HAJ KAZEM, the deputy chief of prison ALI MOHAMADI, Chief interrogator REZA TORABI, KERMANI AND FARAJI respectively chief and deputy chief of security and information office, are all directly involved in the killings.
Activists for Human Rights and Democracy ask the HUMAN RIGHTS HIGH COMMSSION and UN SPECIAL ENVOY FOR WOMEN RIGHTS and other internationall human rights organzations to commission an investigation about this matter and send inspectors in Iran prisons to investigate on and prevents these crimes.
